PostScript emulation
If you have purchased the page description language (PDL)
option package with your 4213 laser printer, it can operate as a
PostScript language laser printer.  You can use the 4213 laser
printer in PostScript language mode with your favourite
application programme to print text, graphics and scanned
photographic images.
This appendix provides the following information:
Instructions for installing the PDL option
Instructions for installing the coprocessor
An overview explaining how PostScript is used
A menu map showing the PostScript Menu
A detailed explanation for each menu item and associated
options
Maps detailing the path used to navigate the menu
The procedures for entering the menu and selecting options
Examples which show how to change the PostScript
configuration:
A. Changing the emulation from XES to POSTSCRIPT
B. Placing the printer in 1-sided print mode with book
binding
Contents of the PDL package
The package contains a PDL printed wiring board assembly
(PWBA) and 2 mounting pegs (refer to figure A4-1).
Note:  In these instructions, a PWBA is referred to as a board
(example:  system controller board, PDL board, and so forth).
