Installing a ZIP drive for Font Archiving
To use the EX7750 Font Archiving feature, you must connect a USB compatible 
external ZIP drive to the EX7750. Connect the power cable to your ZIP drive, and the 
USB cable to your ZIP drive and to one of the USB connectors on the back panel of 
the EX7750. For the location of the USB connectors, see 
on page 1-11. It is not necessary to install the device driver; it is included in your 
EX7750.

If your ZIP drive is not USB 2.0 compatible, a warning message is displayed on 
the FACI monitor.
Insert a ZIP disk. You are now ready for Font Archiving (see 
Starting and shutting down the EX7750
Generally, you can leave the EX7750 running all the time. This section describes how 
to shut down and restart the EX7750 when necessary.
Starting the EX7750
To start the EX7750, press the power button on the front of the EX7750.

If the printer is also turned off, turn it on after turning on the EX7750. If you 
turn it on before the EX7750, the message “Trying to connect. Please wait” appears on 
the display window and FieryBar. If this message appears, turn off and on the printer 
only.
To access the FACI, if installed, you must enter the user name and the password at the 
FACI. The user name is 
Administrator
, and the default password is “
Fiery.1
”. 
To turn the EX7750 back on after you turned it off, wait at least 10 seconds.
