Xerox Phaser 540 Leaflet

You can print a sample of the printer’s resident fonts by downloading the 
Fonts Sampler utility file to the printer.           

If you have not decompressed the Phaser 540 Utilities.sea archive 
file and the Phaser 540 Samplers.sea archive file on the Macintosh 
Driver and Printer Utilities diskette, follow the instructions on 
page 2-11 to decompress these files.  

Select the appropriate printer in the 

Chooser.  

Locate the LaserWriter Utility in the folder on your hard disk 
containing decompressed utility files.  

Double-click on the 

LaserWriter Utility icon.  

Select 

Download PostScript File from the Utilities menu.  

Select the Fonts Sampler file in the folder on your hard disk 
containing decompressed utility files and click 

Open.        

At the 

Save PostScript output as:

 prompt, you are asked 

to supply a file name for saving printer output.  Use the default 
name given in the edit box or type in a new name.  Then click 

Save 

to send the file to the printer.

If no output is returned by the printer, the LaserWriter Utility 
displays a dialog box.  Click 

OK in the dialog box.
