ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to announce that effective December 1, 2003; Xerox will offer a Stand Alone Quick Print option for DigiPath
software. The Stand Alone Quick Print application is a full-featured print utility that allows the comprehensive programming
of printing attributes for a broad array of Xerox Production Printing and Publishing devices. The Stand Alone utility may now
be installed and executed on Windows XP Professional PC platforms other than those supplied with the DigiPath
Production Software offering. This capability provides our customers the flexibility to access print ready jobs such as
Postscript
®
, Encapsulated Postscript
®
, PDF, TIFF, HP/PCL, ASCII and RDO (All DigiPath formats supported). Extensive
job programming is made available through a tabular format for easy access to the various document attributes available for
printer programming.
Users of the Stand Alone Quick Print application will have the same functionality as DigiPath users to program basic
printing features, selective page programming, notes and special instructions, page inserts, covers, image quality
adjustments, full Xerox Job Ticketing, and much more. The selected printer determines the extensibility of the printer
features displayed. Further benefits of the Stand Alone Quick Print application include the ability to concatenate jobs
together to form a single job with a single job ticket or multiple jobs with like printing attributes for each job. Mix jobs of
varying print ready formats may also be concatenated in this fashion.
The Stand Alone Quick Print application also will provide a method to access print ready files and submit them as a single
document for printing by simply identifying the Windows File Folder that hold the files. The application will submit each file
in alphanumeric file order for printing. Several file filters are available to assist the user selecting the print ready files from
the Windows file system.
