IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

To disconnect, turn any control to OFF (O) then remove plug from wall outlet.

•  Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.

•  Keep lid on kettle when in use.

•  Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug, which will only fit 

into a three-prong outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. Improper 

connection of the grounding conductor may result in the risk of electric shock. Consult 

a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.

Warning: this appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent 

removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not 

attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. 

Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.

1. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to 

     reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

2. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and 

    may be used if care is exercised in their use.

3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

    a) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension   

         cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

    b) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a 

       grounding-type 3-wire cord.

    c) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the 

        countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified 

personnel; in Latin America, by an authorized service center.

This product is for household use only

•  Wash all parts as instructed in Care and Cleaning section.

•  Select a level surface where this unit is to be used allowing enough space 

for steam to escape without damage to counters, cabinets and walls.

•  Fill kettle with 4 cups (32oz) cold tap water and bring to a boil.  

Add 2 cups (16oz) white vinegar, let stand for at least 1 hour or overnight 

and discard.

•  Fill kettle to maximum fill line with cold tap water. Bring to boil, discard and 

repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.

Note: The kettle only operates when placed on the swivel base with the (    ) 

button pressed. The kettle automatically shuts off when water has boiled or 

there is no water in the kettle.

1.  Remove the kettle from the swivel base.

2.  Pull the lid release to open the lid.

3.  Fill with desired amount of cold tap water.

4.  Make sure the removable filter is in place inside the pour spout  

    (see BUILT-IN SCALE PROTECTION). Close the lid.

5.  Unwind cord from swivel base.

6.  Place the kettle securely on the swivel base.

•  overfill the kettle (keep water level below the max fill line on  

  the water window)

•  open the lid while water is heating

Fill kettle with desired amount of cold water-do not overfill.  Place kettle on base; 

plug into power outlet.  Press the ( ) button. This switches on the display and 

heating element.  The display will be flashing and show 100°C.

1.   To boil water, press ( ) button.  The kettle will display a default  

    temperature of 100°C.  The temperature and ( ) buttons will flash until  

    heating cycle is activated.  

NOTE: To heat water to another temperature, use the +/- button to select 

the desired temperature.  (Available temperature selection range is from 60-

100°C in 5 degree increments)

2.  Press ( ) again to activate heating cycle.  The ( ) button and display  

    screen will stop flashing and the display will show the rising temperature  

    reading as the water heats to the selected temperature.

3.  Once the water reaches the set temperature, the display panel will remain  

    illuminated  and the  ( ) button will shut off.

When the kettle has reached the set temperature, you cannot reduce the 

temperature setting on the display until the water has cooled down. If you get 

the temperature wrong, and want to change it: 

•  Either pour the hot water away, and refill with cold water, or wait until the kettle 

cools down (it will cool faster if you open the lid).  

•  To switch from

Caution: Do not let the water level get below 2 cups (16-oz).
SWITCHING OFF
The display turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity To switch off manually, press and 

release (     ). This will switch off the element and the display, and put the kettle into 

standby mode. To save electricity, unplug the stand. 

Note: Lime scale forms over time in the kettle when water is heated. Though 

harmless, it may be bothersome. The concealed heating element in the kettle is 

designed to help reduce scale buildup. The kettle has a removable filter at the bottom 

of the pour spout to prevent particles from pouring into your beverage.

•  Always have the removable filter in place just behind the spout when  

using the kettle. 

This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified 

service personnel.

1. Before cleaning, be sure the base is unplugged and the kettle has cooled 

    completely. Empty any remaining water from the kettle.

2. Pull out the removable filter for cleaning. Wash the filter in hot, soapy water 

    and rinse or place it in the utensil holder of the dishwasher.

3. Wash the inside of the kettle with hot, soapy water and rinse.

4. Wipe exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth or sponge and dry.

Note: The heating element at the bottom of the interior may discolor. This will 

not affect performance. Do not use abrasive soaps, cleansers, or scouring pads.

Note: Over time, the kettle may heat up but will not boil, depending on your use 

and the hardness of the water in your area. When this happens, it is time for 

descaling. Use a scale/lime remover and follow its manufacturer’s directions.

CONSERVE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES

Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho 

que el otro). A fin de reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, este enchufe 

encaja en un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo sentido. Si el enchufe no 

entra en el tomacorriente, inviértalo y si aun así no encaja, consulte con un 

electricista. Por favor no trate de alterar esta medida de seguridad.

Advertencia: Este aparato cuenta con un tornillo de seguridad para evitar la 

remoción de la cubierta exterior del mismo. A fin de reducir el riesgo de incendio 

o de choque eléctrico, por favor no trate de remover la cubierta exterior. Este 

producto no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor. Toda reparación se 

debe llevar a cabo solamente por personal de servicio autorizado.

1. El producto se debe de proporcionar con un cable eléctrico corto (o uno separable), 

a fin de reducir el riesgo de tropezar o de enredarse en un cable más largo.

2. Existen cables eléctricos más largos y separables o cables de extensión 

que uno puede utilizar si toma el cuidado debido.

3. Si se utiliza un cable separable o de extensión,

  a) El régimen nominal del cable separable o del cable de extensión debe   

    ser, como mínimo, igual al del régimen nominal del aparato.

  b) Si el aparato es de conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe ser un  

    cable de tres alambres de conexión a tierra.

  c) Uno debe de acomodar el cable más largo de manera que no cuelgue del       

    mostrador o de la mesa, para evitar que un niño tire del mismo o que    

    alguien se tropiece.

Nota: Si el cordón de alimentación está dañado, en América Latina debe 

sustituirse por personal calificado o por el centro de servicio autorizado.

Este product es solamente para uso doméstico.

PRIMEROS PASOS
•  Lave todas las piezas siguiendo las instrucciones en la sección de  

Cuidado y Limpieza.

•  Seleccione una superficie plana donde se vaya a situar el hervidor para 

su uso, que cuente con el espacio suficiente para que el vapor escape sin 

dañar el mostrador, los gabinetes o las paredes.

•  Llene el hervidor con 4 tazas (32 onzas) de agua fría de llave y deje que 

el agua hierva. Añada 2 tazas (16 onzas) de vinagre, deje la solución en el 

hervidor por lo menos una hora o hasta el otro día y luego deséchela.

•  Llene el hervidor con agua fría de llave hasta la marca del nivel de llenado 

máximo. Deje que el agua hierva, luego deséchela y repita este paso. El 

hervidor ahora está listo para ser utilizado

Nota: El hervidor solo funciona cuando es colocado en la base giratoria y 

el botón de encendido/apagado (    ) es presionado. El hervidor se apaga 

automáticamente cuando el agua se ha hervido o si no tiene agua.
PARA LLENAR EL HERVIDOR

1.  Retire el hervidor de la base giratoria.

2.  Sujete y hale la lengüeta en el centro de la tapa para liberar la tapa y abrirla.

3.  Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua fría de llave deseada.

4.  Asegúrese de que el filtro removible esté colocado en su lugar, dentro de  

    la boquilla (vea la sección de PROTECCIÓN INTEGRADA CONTRA EL  

    SARRO). Cierre la tapa.

5.  Desenrrolle el cable en la parte de abajo de la base giratoria.

6.  Coloque el hervidor, asegurado en la base giratoria.

• haga funcionar sin el filtro removible en el espacio

• llene el hervidor demasiado – mantenga el nivel del agua  

    debajo de la línea del nivel máximo.

• destape la cubierta mientras el agua se está calentando.

PARA ENCENDER 
Llene el hervidor con la cantidad de agua fría deseada—no lo llene demasiado. 

Coloque el hervidor en la base; luego enchúfelo a un tomacorriente. Presione 

el botón de encendido ( ). Esto hace que la pantalla y el elemento de calor se 

enciendan.  La pantalla parpadeará y mostrará 100°C.
CALENTAMIENTO

1.  Para hervir agua, presione el botón de encendido ( ). Las luces de los 

botones de temperatura y de encendido ( ) parpadearán hasta que el ciclo de 

calentamiento se haya activado.

Nota: Para calentar agua a otra temperatura, use el botón +/- para 

seleccionar la temperatura deseada. (La gama de temperaturas disponibles 

para seleccionar es desde 60 a 100°C en incrementos de 5 grados.)

2.  Presione el botón de encendido ( ) otra vez para activar el ciclo de 

calentamiento. La luz del botón de encendido ( ) y la pantalla pararán de 

parpadear, y  la pantalla mostrará la temperatura según se va incrementando 

mientras que el agua se va calentando a la temperatura deseada.

3.  Una vez que el agua alcance la temperatura seleccionada, el panel de la pantalla 

se mantendrá iluminado y la luz del botón de encendido ( ) se apagará.

PARA CAMBIAR LA TEMPERATURA
Cuando el hervidor haya alcanzado la temperatura programada, usted no podra 

reducir la temperatura en la pantalla hasta que el agua se haya enfriado. Así que si 

ha programado la  temperatura incorrecta y quiere cambiarla:

•  Deseche el agua caliente y vuelva a llenar el hervidor con agua fría o espere 

hasta que el hervidor se enfrie (se enfriará más rápido si abre la tapa).

•  Para cambiar la temperatura de

Precaución: No deje que el nivel de agua alcance menos de 2 tazas (16 onzas).

PARA APAGAR
La pantalla se apaga después de 5 minutos de inactividad.  Para apagar el hervidor 

manualmente, presione y suelte el botón de encendido/apagado (  ). Esto hará 

que se apaguen el elemento de calor y la pantalla, y que el hervidor pase al modo de 

espera. Para ahorrar energía, desénchufe el cable de la base giratoria.

Nota: Cuando se calienta agua, con el tiempo se forman depósitos de calcio.  

Aunque es inofensivo puede resultar molesto. El elemento de calentamiento 

protegido en el hervidor está diseñado para ayudar a reducir la acumulación 

de sarro. El hervidor tiene un filtro de sarro en el fondo de la boquilla para 

prevenir que se viertan partículas en su bebida.

•  Cuando esté usando el hervidor, siempre mantenga el filtro removible en su 

lugar, justo detrás de la boquilla.

Este aparato no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor.  Para servicio, 

por favor acuda a personal calificado. 

1. Antes de limpiarlo, asegúrese de que la base esté desconectada y de que el 

    hervidor se haya enfriado completamente. Deseche el agua que quede en 

    el hervidor y que no se vaya a usar.

2. Remueva el filtro. Lávelo con agua caliente y jabón, enjuáguelo y séquelo 

    bien o colóquelo en el recipiente de utensilios de la máquina lavaplatos.

3. Lave el interior del hervidor con agua y jabón y enjuáguelo.

4. Limpie el exterior del hervidor y la base con un paño húmedo o esponja 

Nota: Es posible que el elemento oculto en el fondo del interior se decolore. 

Esto no afectará el funcionamiento. No utilice jabones, limpiadores abrasivos 

ni fibra esponja en ninguna parte de la unidad.

Nota: Con el transcurso del tiempo, es posible que el hervidor caliente pero 

que no hierva, dependiendo del uso que se le da y de la dureza del agua de su 

zona. Cuando esto ocurre, es necesario quitar el sarro. Utilice un desoxidante 

o limpiador de sarro y siga las instrucciones del fabricante.

Para servicio, reparaciones o preguntas relacionadas al producto, por favor 

llame al número del centro de servicio que se indica para el país donde usted 

compró su producto. 

NO devuélva el producto al fabricante. NO Llame o lleve 

el producto a un centro de servicio autorizado. 

¿Qué cubre la garantía?  

• La garantía cubre cualquier defecto de materiales o de mano de obra que 

   no haya sido generado por el uso incorrecto del producto.

¿Por cuánto tiempo es válida la garantía?  

• Por dos años a partir de la fecha original de compra mientras que tenga una  

   prueba de la compra.

• Conserve el recibo original como comprobante de la fecha de compra, 

   comuníquese con el centro de servicio de su país y haga efectiva su 

   garantía si cumple lo indicado en el manual de instrucciones. 

• Conserve el recibo original de compra. 

•  Por favor llame al número del centro de servicio autorizado.

• Por dos años a partir de la fecha original de compra mientras que tenga una 

   prueba de la compra.
