IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be 

followed, including the following:

•  Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

•  To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse 

cord, plugs or appliance in water or other liquid.

•  Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

•  Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool 

before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

•  Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the 

appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return 

appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair 

or adjustment. 

•  The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance 

manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

•  Do not use outdoors.

•  Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

•  Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

•  To disconnect, turn any control to OFF (O), then remove plug from wall outlet.

•  Do not use this appliance for other than intended use. 

•  Keep lid on kettle closed when in use

•  Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the boiling cycles.

This product is for household use only.

As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug, which will 

only fit into a three-prong outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. 

Improper connection of the grounding conductor may result in the risk of 

electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether 

the outlet is properly grounded.

Warning: this appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent 

removal of the outer cover. to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not 

attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. 

Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.

1. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be 

    provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping 

    over a longer cord.

2. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and 

    may be used if care is exercised in their use.

3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used,

  a) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension 

       cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance,

  b) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a   

      grounding-type 3-wire cord, and

  c) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop  

        or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified 

personnel; in Latin America, by an authorized service center.

This product is for household use only.

• Wash all parts as instructed in Care and Cleaning section.

• Select a level surface where this unit is to be used allowing enough space 

   for steam to escape without damage to counters, cabinets and walls.

• Fill kettle with 4 cups cold tap water and bring to a boil. Add 2 cups white 

   vinegar, let stand for at least 1 hour or overnight and discard.

• Fill kettle to maximum fill line with cold tap water. Bring to boil, discard and 

  repeat. Kettle is now ready for use.

Note: The kettle only operates when placed on the swivel base with the ON/

OFF (I/O) button in the ON (I) position. The kettle automatically shuts off when 

water has boiled or there is no water in the kettle.

1. Remove the kettle from the swivel base.

2. Press the lid release button to open the lid.

3. Fill with desired amount of cold tap water.

4. Make sure the removable filter is in place inside the pour spout (see BUILT-

IN SCALE PROTECTION). Close the lid.

5. Unwind cord from swivel base.

6. Place the kettle securely on the swivel base.

1. Plug cord on the swivel base into standard electrical outlet.

2. Press the On/Off (I/O) switch to the On (I) position. The power indicator 

    light turns on and the water begins to heat.

3. When water boils, the kettle and the power indicator light will 

    automatically turn off.

Note: You can also turn the appliance off at any time by lifting the On/Off 

(I/O) switch to the Off (O) position.

When taking kettle to the table, carry kettle with caution to avoid spilling. 

Set it on a trivet or hot pad to protect the table surface or tablecloth.

4. Unplug the kettle when not in use.

Note: This kettle has a boil dry protection feature that automatically turns 

the kettle and power indicator light off when water has boiled or if there is 

no water in the kettle.

Note: Lime scale forms over time in the kettle when water is heated. Though 

harmless, it may be bothersome. The concealed heating element in the kettle is 

designed to help reduce scale buildup. The kettle has a removable filter at the 

bottom of the pour spout to prevent particles from pouring into your beverage.

• Always have the removable filter in place just be-hind the spout when 

using the kettle.

This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified 

service personnel.

1.Before cleaning, be sure the base is unplugged and the kettle has cooled 

   completely. Empty any remaining water from the kettle.

2.Pull out the removable filter for cleaning. Wash the filter in hot, soapy water 

   and rinse or place it in the utensil holder of the dishwasher.

3.Wash the inside of the kettle with hot, soapy water and rinse.

4.Wipe exterior of the kettle and base with a damp cloth or sponge and dry.

Note: The heating element at the bottom of the interior may discolor. This will 

not affect performance. Do not use abrasive soaps, cleansers, or scouring pads.

Note: Over time, the kettle may heat up but will not boil, depending on your use 

and the hardness of the water in your area. When this happens, it is time for 

descaling. Use a scale/lime remover and follow its manufacturer’s directions.

•  No toque las superficies calientes. Utilice las asas o las perillas.

•  A fin de protegerse contra el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, no coloque el 

aparato de manera que el cable, los enchufes ni el aparato en agua ni en

tomacorriente. Para desconectar, ajuste todo control a la posición de

•  La tapa debe permanecer sobre la jarra cuando el aparato está en uso

•  Mantenga tapa de la tetera está cerrada cuando está en uso.

•  Este aparato se debe usar únicamente con el fin previsto. Es posible que se 

produzcan escaldaduras si se retira la tapa durante el ciclo de preparación 

de la ebullición.

CONSERVE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES.

Este aparato eléctrico es para uso doméstico solamente.

Este aparato cuenta con un enchufe polarizado (un contacto es más ancho 

que el otro). A fin de reducir el riesgo de un choque eléctrico, este enchufe 

encaja en un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo sentido. Si el enchufe no 

entra en el tomacorriente, inviértalo y si aun así no encaja, consulte con un 

electricista. Por favor no trate de alterar esta medida de seguridad.

Advertencia: Este aparato cuenta con un tornillo de seguridad para evitar la 

remoción de la cubierta exterior del mismo. A fin de reducir el riesgo de incendio 

o de choque eléctrico, por favor no trate de remover la cubierta exterior. Este 

producto no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor. Toda reparación se 

debe llevar a cabo solamente por personal de servicio autorizado.

1. El producto se debe de proporcionar con un cable eléctrico corto (o uno separable), 

a fin de reducir el riesgo de tropezar o de enredarse en un cable más largo.

2. Existen cables eléctricos más largos y separables o cables de extensión 

que uno puede utilizar si toma el cuidado debido.

3. Si se utiliza un cable separable o de extensión,

  a) el régimen nominal del cable separable o del cable de extensión debe  

    ser, como mínimo, igual al del régimen nominal del aparato.

  b) Si el aparato es de conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe ser un  

    cable de tres alambres de conexión a tierra.

  c) Uno debe de acomodar el cable más largo de manera que no cuelgue     

   del mostrador o de la mesa, para evitar que un niño tire del mismo o que   

   alguien se tropiece.

Nota: Si el cordón de alimentación está dañado, en América Latina debe 

sustituirse por personal calificado o por el centro de servicio autorizado.

Este product es solamente para uso doméstico.

•  Lave todas las piezas tal cual se indica en la sección de Cuidados y Limpieza.

•  Elija una superficie plana para utilizar el hervidor permitiendo suficiente 

espacio para que salga el vapor sin dañar mostradores, armarios y 

paredes.

•  Llene el hervidor con 4 tazas de agua fría del grifo y póngala a hervir. 

Añada 2 tazas de vinagre blanco, deje reposar por lo menos 1 hora o 

durante la noche y deseche.

•  Llene el hervidor hasta la línea del nivel máximo con agua fría del grifo. 

Haga hervir, deseche y repita. Ahora el hervidor está listo para usar. 

Nota: El hervidor funciona únicamente cuando se coloca en la base giratoria 

con el botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO (I/O) en la posición ENCENDIDO (I). El 

hervidor se apaga automáticamente cuando el agua hierve o cuando el mismo 

no contiene agua.

1. Quite el hervidor de la base giratoria.

2. Presione el botón de desenganche de la tapa para abrir.

3. Llene con la cantidad deseada de agua fría del grifo.

4. Asegúrese que el filtro removible quede en su lugar dentro de la boquilla. 

    (Ver PROTECCION INCORPORADA CONTRA EL SARRO). Cierre la tapa.

5. Desenrolle el cordón eléctrico de la base giratoria.

6. Coloque el hervidor firmemente sobre la base giratoria.

1. Enchufe el cordón de la base giratoria en un tomacorriente regular.

2. Presione el botón ENCENDIDO/APAGADO (I/O) a la posición ENCENDIDO (I). Se 

     prenderá la luz indicadora de encendido y el agua comienza a calentarse.

3. Cuando el agua hierve, el hervidor y la luz indicadora de encendido se 

    apagan automáticamente. El aparato no contiene piezas reparables por el 

    consumidor. Para servicio, acuda a personal de asistencia calificado. 

Nota: Usted también puede apagar el aparato en cualquier momento 

presionando el botón de Encendido/Apagado (I/O) a la posición de Apagado (O).

Cuando lleve el hervidor a la mesa, trasládelo con precaución para evitar 

derrames. Colóquelo sobre una base resistente al calor para proteger la 

superficie de la mesa o el mantel.

4. Desenchufe el hervidor cuando no se encuentre en uso.

Nota: Este calentador de agua tiene una función de protección de ebullición 

en seco que apaga automáticamente el hervidor de agua y luz indicadora 

de encendido apagado cuando el agua haya hervido o si no hay agua en la 

caldera.

Nota: Cuando se calienta agua con el tiempo se forman depósitos de calcio.  

Aunque es inofensivo puede resultar molesto. El protector del calentador del 

hervidor está diseñado para ayudar a reducir la acumulación de sarro.  

El hervidor tiene un filtro de sarro 

en el fondo de la boquilla para impedir que se viertan partículas en su bebida.

• Cuando utilice el hervidor siempre coloque el filtro en su lugar justo detrás 

   de la boquilla.

Este aparato no contiene piezas reparables por el consumidor.  Para servicio, 

por favor acuda a personal calificado. 

1. Antes de limpiarlo, asegúrese de que la base esté desconectada y de que el 

    hervidor se haya enfriado completamente. Deseche el agua que quede en 

    el hervidor y que no se vaya a usar.

2. Remueva el filtro. Lávelo con agua caliente y jabón, enjuáguelo y séquelo 

    bien o colóquelo en el recipiente de utensilios de la máquina lavaplatos.

3. Lave el interior del hervidor con agua y jabón y enjuáguelo.

4. Limpie el exterior del hervidor y la base con un paño húmedo o esponja 

y séquelos. 

Nota: Es posible que el elemento calefactor oculto en la parte 

inferior del interior quede descolorido. Esto no afecta al rendimiento. 

Nota: Con el transcurso del tiempo, es posible que el hervidor caliente pero 

que no hierva, dependiendo del uso que se le da y de la dureza del agua de su 

zona. Cuando esto ocurre, es necesario quitar el sarro. Utilice un desoxidante 

o limpiador de sarro y siga las instrucciones del fabricante. 

Para servicio, reparaciones o preguntas relacionadas al producto, por favor 

llame al número del centro de servicio que se indica para el país donde usted 

compró su producto. 

NO devuélva el producto al fabricante. Llame o lleve el 

producto a un centro de servicio autorizado.

•  La garantía cubre cualquier defecto de materiales o de mano de obra que 

no haya sido generado por el uso incorrecto del producto.

•  Por tres años a partir de la fecha original de compra mientras que tenga 

una prueba de la compra.

•  Conserve el recibo original como comprobante de la fecha de compra, 

comuníquese con el centro de servicio de su país y haga efectiva su 

garantía si cumple lo indicado en el manual de instrucciones. 

•  Guarde el recibo como prueba de la fecha de venta.
