Using Scanning Logs
The scanning log contains all LOG and COMMON messages for the appliance’s 
scanning engines. See the Alerts section of the “System Administration” chapter 
in the Cisco IronPort AsyncOS for Email Configuration Guide for a list of 
available the COMMON and LOG alert messages. 
Scanning Log Example
In this example, the log shows the history of an appliance sending a warning alert 
concerning Sophos anti-virus.

The message consists of an application fault, sent alert, failed 
alert, or log error message for one of the scanning engines.
