Configuring the Salesforce.com Adapter
Quick Summary
There are no local configurations maintained on the agent desktop.  Once
the software is deployed to the agent desktop you must configure the .Net
Adapter for .Net Remoting.  The rest of the configuration is implemented
in the Salesforce.com Administration Setup utilities, part of the
Salesforce.com hosted applications.
You may install the Salesforce.com adapter on the CRM Connector Server
machine, but this is not required.  You will need to install it on an
administrator’s desktop.  This is considered a deployment approach and is
not documented here.
Configure and License the .Net Adapter for .Net Remoting
Step 1.  Configure the .Net Adapter for .Net Remoting
communication interface in the config.ini.
See
Chapter 6:

for instructions on
implementing the .Net Adapter for .Net Remoting.
Step 2.  Apply license for the .Net Adapter.
You may defer this step until after the installation is complete.  There is a
thirty-day post installation implementation period before licensing is
enforced.  See the Administration Tool Chapter 4 for licensing procedures.
Import the Call Center Configuration
Step 3. Log into Salesforce.com as the system administrator
Use a Microsoft Internet Explorer browser to navigate to the
Salesforce.com web site.  Log in with the system administrator account.
