Chapter 2      Scheduling and Starting Meetings
    Scheduling a Meeting
Meeting ID  This field
uniquely
identifies your
meeting during
the date, time,
and duration
for which you
schedule it.
Depending on
settings that
your system
administrator
makes, this
option may not
be available.
Enter a meeting ID that
is easy to remember.
The meeting ID can be
up to 17 alphanumeric
characters long. It
cannot contain spaces.
If you are scheduling a
, this
value must be available
as a unique meeting ID
for all recurrences of the
meeting.
If this option is not
available, or if you do
not specify a Meeting
ID, Cisco Unified
MeetingPlace Express
will automatically
assign a Meeting ID
after you click
Schedule
You can enter letters
of the alphabet to
make your Meeting
ID easier to
remember, but letters
will be converted to
numbers after you
schedule the meeting.
To see which letters
correspond to which
numbers, look at the
number keys on your
telephone keypad. For
example, “Sales”
would be converted to
72537. When
participants attend the
meeting, they can use
the letters or the
numbers to find the
meeting by Meeting
ID.
One Meeting ID may
be used for multiple
meetings as long as
the meetings do not
coincide or overlap.
