Media Shrink Diagnostics
Introduction
The Media Shrink feature increases the recording capacity of a set-top by transcoding high-bitrate MPEG2 videos (both
HD and SD) to low-bitrate MPEG4 video. Transcoding is performed automatically in the background without affecting the
performance of the set-top. This chapter provides information on the diagnostic screens used to monitor and, if
necessary, troubleshoot the Media Shrink feature.
