Directory Services Replication
If you have configured your system with Directory Services replication, and one of the
Directory Services servers is shut down for an extended period (two days or more)
then it can cause the remaining Directory Services server to experience high resource
usage (memory and disk space). The longer the Directory Services server is down,
the higher the resource usage on the remaining server.

In this situation, replication should be shut down on the operational server to prevent

To shut down Directory Services replication:
1. Open a command window and at the prompt, type
cd C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin
to change folders to the bin directory.
2. At the prompt, type
LDAPUtil /C <IP address>
where <IP address> is the IP address of this server.
Directory Services replication is shut down.
