announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco
®
ONS 15454 OC-192 long-reach (LR)/STM-64 long-haul (LH)
1550-nm optics cards, with part numbers 15454-OC192LR1550 and 15454E-L64.2-1-HS. The last day to order these Cisco ONS 15454 OC-
192 optics cards is January 27, 2005. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical
Assistance Center (TAC) until January 27, 2010. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco ONS 15454
OC-192 optics cards. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the latest Cisco ONS 15454 OC-192LR/STM-64H optics cards, with part numbers OC192-LR2 and
L64.2-1-HS, which provide design enhancements for improved reliability and manufacturability. Information about the replacement products
can be found at:

Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the existing Cisco ONS 15454 OC-192 optics cards to the replacement optics cards.
