  SOCKS Proxy Services
Enabling Processing of SOCKS Traffic
Before You Begin
Enable the Web Proxy.
Step 1
Choose Security Services > SOCKS Proxy.
Step 2
Click Edit Settings.
Step 3
Select Enable SOCKS Proxy.
Step 4
Submit and Commit Changes.
Configuring the SOCKS Proxy
Step 1
Choose Security Services SOCKS Proxy.
Step 2
Click Edit Settings.
Step 3
Select Enable SOCKS Proxy.
Step 4
Configure the basic and advanced SOCKS Proxy settings.
Creating SOCKS Policies
Step 1
Choose Web Security Manager > SOCKS Policies.
Step 2
Click Add Policy.
Step 3
Assign a name in the Policy Name field.
Note
Each policy group name must be unique and only contain alphanumeric characters or the space 
character.

SOCKS Proxy
Enabled.
SOCKS Control Ports
Ports that accept SOCKS requests. Default is 1080.
UDP Request Ports
UDP ports on which the SOCKS server should listen. Default is 
16000-16100.
Proxy Negotiation Timeout
Time to wait (in seconds) to send or receive data from a SOCKS 
client in the negotiation phase. Default is 60.
UDP Tunnel Timeout
Time to wait (in seconds) for data from a UDP client or server before 
closing the UDP tunnel. Default is 60.
