This document is designed to clarify the conditions under which you can tilt or lift the CRS−1 16 slot
line−card and fabric−card chassis.

Conditions
Cisco clarifies that:
The CRS−1 16 slot line−card and fabric−card chassis can be tipped and rested on its side (not front,
nor rear) only if needed in order to get through low doorways or overcome other height restrictions
encountered when you transport the chassis to the installation point.

If you need to move the chassis on its side, it is recommended that you move the chassis in the "As
Shipped" condition, specified by the manuals listed in the Introduction section of this document. In
other words, there should be neither added hardware nor power shelves installed during this move.

The CRS−1 16 slot line−card and fabric−card chassis can be tilted either front−to−rear or
side−to−side, but not rested, during transport in order to get through low height restrictions.
