The following open caveats are specific to the Cisco CRS-X router:

Basic Description:
MBI path file validation fails on MSC-X/FP-X line card.
Symptom
The MSC-X/FP-X line card switches to IN-RESET state after software upgrade. MBI validation failure errors appear on the
route processor console.
Conditions:
This is observed when the router is upgraded from Cisco IOS XR Software Release 4.x to Release 5.1.1.
Workaround:
The following work arounds exist:
• Telnet to aux port of the 400G fabric card and edit the file /install/instdb/ldpath to add an entry for 400g similar to 140g-msc.
Repeat this for standby route processor and reload the 400G fabric card.
• Reload the router.

Basic Description:
The fsm process crashes on MSC-X/FP-X line cards upon RPFO.
Symptom
The fsm process crashes on MSC-X/FP-X during route processor fail-over (RPFO).
Conditions:
RPFO occurs when statistics are being exported from the MSC-X/FP-X line cards.
Workaround:
Reload the MSC-X/FP-X line cards.
