Memory Requirements

If you remove the media in which the software image or configuration is stored, the router may become
unstable and fail.

Caution

The minimum memory requirements for a Cisco CRS running Cisco IOS XR Software Release 5.1.1 consist of the following:

• 6 GB memory on Performance Route Processors (PRPs)
