BEST VALUE
Research shows that a majority of today’s networks are
shared or switched 10Mbps Ethernet. Allied Telesyn now
delivers a low-cost adapter card for these networks. The
AT-2400 is a 32 bit PCI solution at a 30% - 50% savings
over low-cost 10/100 Fast Ethernet adapter cards. When
considered at a network level, the savings are significant.
The AT-2400, designed for systems using the PCI bus, can
operate in full-duplex mode with a potential throughput
of 20Mbps (10T only) when used with a switching hub.
Two versions of the AT-2400 cards are available, the AT-
2400T for 10T (UTP) and the AT-2400BT for 10T (UTP)
and 10BASE2 (BNC).
POWER AND  COMPATIBILITY
Because the AT-2400 adapter operates in bus-master
mode, it minimizes CPU utilization, allowing worksta-
tions to devote more processing time to the most
demanding applications and operating environments.
The AT-2400 complies with industry standards IEEE
802.2 and PCI 2.1, making it compatible with all industry
standards based network components. The AT-2400 PCI
Ethernet adapter supports the most popular network
operating systems including Microsoft Windows NT,
Windows 95 and Windows for Workgroups; Novell
NetWare; IBM OS/2 and WARP, DEC Pathworks, SCO
and more (see reverse for complete driver list).
QUICK, EASY INSTALLATION
The AT-2400 automatically configures on power-up,
dramatically reducing installation time. The autosens-
ing media connectors on the AT-2400BT eliminate the
need for time consuming software set-up programs.
An easy-to-read installation guide takes you through
the short process with the help of illustrations. The
CardAssistant diskette help files also aid in installation
and troubleshooting.
SUPERIOR SUPPORT
Allied Telesyn backs the AT-2400 Ethernet adapter with a
Lifetime Warranty, Advance Replacement and free techni-
cal support. Diagnostic software and a Link LED assist in
troubleshooting. New and enhanced drivers and features
are available 24 hours a day via the website, BBS, FTP
server or CompuServe. A BootROM socket is available for
centralized software distribution or remote booting. Easy-
to-view LED displays network traffic status and simpli-
fies troubleshooting. This is the highest level of support
offered in the low cost copper market.
