This command allows you to enable/disable Network Address Translation (NAT) processing for all subscribers using 
the current rulebase. 

  In StarOS 8.1 and StarOS 9.0 and later releases, for Policy-based Firewall-and-NAT, this command 

is available in the Firewall-and-NAT Policy Configuration Mode. 

  Before enabling NAT processing for a subscriber, Stateful Firewall must be enabled for the 

subscriber. See the 

  CLI command. 

 

NAT 

 

Security Administrator, Administrator 

 

Exec > ACS Configuration > Rulebase Configuration 

active-charging service service_name > rulebase rulebase_name

 

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt: 

[local]host_name(config-rule-base)# 

 

nat policy nat-required [ default-nat-realm nat_realm_name ] 

{ default | no } nat policy 

 

Configures this command with its default setting. 
Default: NAT processing is disabled for all subscribers using the current rulebase. 

 

If previously enabled, disables NAT processing for all subscribers using the current rulebase. 

 

Enables NAT processing for all subscribers using the current rulebase. 

default-nat-realm nat_realm_name

 

  This keyword is only available in StarOS 8.3 and later releases. 

Specifies the default NAT realm to be used if one is not already configured. 

 must be the name of a NAT realm, and must be an alphanumeric string of 1 through 31 

characters.
