Configures VPNv6 BGP parameters.

Exec > Global Configuration > Context Configuration > BGP Configuration

configure > context context_name > router bgp as_number

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt:

[context_name]host_name(config-bgp)#

Syntax

address-family ipv6

Enters the BGP Address-Family IPv6 mode to allow entry of IPv6 BGP parameters for the BGP AS number.

Usage

Use this command to configure the IPv6 BGP address family configuration parameters for BGP router.
Use of

address-family ipv6

command switches the command mode to BGP Address Family

Configuration Mode and changes the CLI prompt to:

[context_name>]host_name(config-bgp-af-v6)#
