Release Notes for Cisco Prime Service Catalog
10.1
November 2014

Introduction
Cisco Prime Service Catalog is a self-service portal that enables users to order new IT services or modify
existing ones while ensuring compliance with defined IT policies and governance. It also allows
organizations to encourage the adoption of standardized services and implement lifecycle management
with governance across both internal services such as private cloud services and external services. The
inherent tracking capabilities enable pay-per-use metering, whether implementing simple “showback”
or a more complex chargeback approach.
Cisco Prime Service Catalog is the solution for implementing IT as a Service (ITaaS), i.e. providing both
cloud and data center infrastructure, as well as traditional IT workplace services as a service. From 10.1,
Prime Service Catalog provides out-of-box integration with UCS Director to offer the IT service
storefront that is user friendly while supported by sophisticated infrastructure and application
orchestration capabilities.
