you want to change the TDC-CC or TDC-FC card settings. If you are already logged in, continue with the next step.

Complete the “NTP-G103 Back Up the Database” task in the chapter “Maintain the Node” of the Cisco ONS 15454 DWDM
Network Configuration Guide.

Changing the CD value of the T-DCU can severely affect the performance of the channels travelling through the
T-DCU. As a general rule the new value is provided through an additional analysis performed by the CTP. In this
case, complete the “NTP-G328 Add, Modify, and Delete ANS Parameters” task in the chapter “Turn Up a Node”
of the Cisco ONS 15454 DWDM Network Configuration Guide. If for some reason, the “NTP-G328 Add, Modify,
and Delete ANS Parameters” task cannot be applied, then a skilled operator can directly change the CD value
according to the CTP findings. To modify the CD setting of the TDC-CC or TDC-FC card proceed to the next
step.

To modify the CD setting of the TDC-CC or TDC-FC card, perform any of the following tasks as needed:

As the operation is traffic affecting, change the CD value during a maintenance window.
