Cisco Prime Network 3.8.0.0.5 VNE Device Package Installation Guide 
 

For example, PrimeNetwork-3.8.xTo3.9.x-DP1207.tar – indicates the device package is released in 
July 2012 and is supported on Prime Network 3.8, 3.8.1, and 3.9. 

Before installing the Device Package, make sure of the following: 

 

Prime Network 3.8.0.0.5 or later 

PrimeNetwork-3.8.xTo3.9.x-DP1206.tar or  later 

Prime Network 3.8.0.0.4 or earlier  

CiscoPrimeNetwork-3.8-DP6.tar or earlier 

 

1.  Verify that Cisco Prime Network 3.8.0.0.5 is installed on the server . 
2.  It is mandatory to install Cisco Prime Network 3.8.0.0.5  or above on Cisco Prime Network server 

before installing the VNE Device package ( e.g. PrimeNetwork-3.8.xTo3.9.x-DP1206.tar) 
 
Note:  PrimeNetwork-3.8.xTo3.9.x-DP1206.tar is not supported on Cisco Prime Network 3.8.1 
server 
 

3.  Log into Cisco.com and navigate to 

 to 

download the Prime Network  Cisco  VNE Device packages 

4.  Download and install the 3.8.0.0.5 or the latest Point patch / service patch on 

 to get the latest bug fixes. 

5.  If your configuration is using the HA/DR (gateway high availability) solution, in the VERITAS 

Cluster Manager Application, uncheck the critical flag from the Cisco ANA gateway resource. 
 
 
 

Create a new directory for the DP and copy the DP file to that new directory:
