Cisco Cisco Prime Network 4.0 Installation Guide

Using the Update option in the Cisco Prime Network Administration application, you can update the 
VNE device package.

Log into the Cisco Prime Network Administration application.

Add the required third-party VNEs in the application.

Choose the third-party VNE for which you want to update the device package.

Right-click and select Update VNE Device Package. The list of available device packages will be 
displayed in the Update Devices Package To...... window.

Select the required device package and click OK. An appropriate message will be displayed to restart 
the VNE.

Click OK and restart the VNE.

Using the Cisco Prime Network Vision application, you can also update the VNE device package, by 
selecting the required modeled VNE and right-clicking and selecting VNE Tools > Update VNE Device 
Package.

The uninstallation procedure restores the driver configuration files to a previously backed-up version. 
You will need to select the required device package to be uninstalled.

Log into the Prime Network gateway server as network-user.

Start the installation script:

% ivne

 1 Install VNE Device Package from a local directory.       

 2 Install VNE Device Package from a Web Repository.

 3 List installed Device Packages.

 4 Show latest installed Device Packages

 5 Uninstall a Device Package (DP).
