NOTE:
1.
For creating a Breakout, the parent controller’s portMode attribute should be set to
BREAKOUT with framing, mapping, rate set to NONE and bitrate set to 0.
2.
The individual lanes can be configured by specifying the values other than NONE for
portMode, framing, mapping, and rate.
3.
A Break out Lane can be removed by specifying NONE for portMode, framing, mapping,
rate, and bitrate as 0 with the lane number indicating the Lane to be un-
configured/removed.
4.
For resetting the breakout configuration:
a. A user has to set the parent controller’s portMode, framing, mapping, and rate
to NONE and bitrate to 0. This will remove the breakout configuration on the
parent controller and all the associated lanes.
b. The regular portMode configuration can be applied using the required values
for portMode, mapping, framing, rate, and bitrate.

Parameters required for Breakout Mode
breakoutModeOperation
Boolean
Optional attribute should be set to ‘True’ for creating
the Lane and ‘False’ for removing lane.
NOTE: This is an optional attribute. The lanes can be
un-configured /removed by specifying NONE for the
lane specific attributes with bitrate 0.
laneNumber
Integer
1 to 10 ( indicating the lane number to be configured or
removed )
portMode
String
One of the following values:
ETHERNET, FC, OTN,SDH, SONET, and NONE (for
removing breakout Lane).
framing
String
One of the following values:
OPYU0, OPU1, OPU1E, OPU2, OPU3, OPU3E1,OPU3E2,
OPU4, OPU4FLEX, OPUFlex, OPU1F, OPU2F, and NONE
(for removing breakout Lane).
mapping
String
One of the following values:
BMP, GMP, GFPF, GFPT, WIS. HDLC. HDLC_LEX,
HDLC_X86, CBR, TRP, and NONE (for removing breakout
Lane).
rate
String
One of the following values:
OC3, OC12, OC48, OC192, STM1, STM4, STM16, STM64,
and NONE (for removing breakout Lane).
bitrate

0 (For removing breakout Lane )
