NOTE:  
1. 
For creating a breakout, the parent controller’s portMode attribute should be set to BREAKOUT 
with framing, mapping, rate set to NONE and bitrate set to 0. 
2. 
The individual lanes can be configured by specifying the values other than NONE for portMode, 
framing, mapping, and rate. 
3. 
A Breakout Lane can be removed by specifying NONE for portMode, framing, mapping, rate, 
and bitrate as 0 with the lane number indicating the Lane to be un-configured/removed. This 
can also be achieved by setting the LaneNumber and the portMode to NONE. The other 
parameters for the lane are not required.

For resetting the breakout configuration: 
a.   A user has to set the parent controller’s portMode, framing, mapping, and rate to 
NONE and bitrate to 0. This will remove the breakout configuration on the parent 
controller and all the associated lanes. 
b.  The regular portMode configuration can be applied on a parent controller by specifying 
the required values for portMode, mapping, framing, rate, and bitrate.
