  New Features for Release 3.3.1
New Features for Release 3.3.1
Cisco Multicast Manager 3.3.1 provides the following new features:
AAA Services Support with ACS Server 5.4—CMM 3.3.1 will support full AAA(Authentication, 
Authorization and Accounting) services with ACS server 5.4. There are there modes of 
authentication: LOCAL, TACACS, and RADIUS. All authorizations and accounting take place on 
the application.  An external ACS server could be used for performing remote authentication.
Note
An user account has to be created in the CMM application; even for remote authentication. Roles 
are assigned to you; based on which you will be able to access the functionalities in the 
application.
VRF Lite Support— Cisco Multicast Manager 3.3.1 supports Discovery, Polling, Trace, Topology 
and Diagnostics functionalities in VRF-Lite environment.
You can perform the following types of Distributed Network Discovery in a VRF Lite environment
PE-Only Discovery—You have to provide the IP address of the PE device in a flat file. CMM 
will internally identify the associated CE devices and all devices in the VRF will get discovered 
(PE and CE devices will not be discovered).
CE-PE Discovery—In a flat file, you have to provide the CE interface IP address and the 
connected device interface IP address in VRF. CMM will discover all the devices in VRF. 
Devices in multiple VRFs can also be discovered by providing the connectivity details in the 
flat file (CE devices will not be discovered).
Nexus 3K Support—Cisco Multicast Manager 3.3.1 supports Nexus 3K with version 6.0(2)U1(1) 
for Discovery, Trace, Polling, and Diagnostic. 
Nexus 5K Support—Cisco Multicast Manager 3.3.1 supports Nexus 5K with version 6.0(2)N1(2a) 
for Discovery, Trace, Polling, and Diagnostic. 
Browser Support—Cisco Multicast Manager 3.3.1 provides support for Firefox 20 and IE 9.x on 
Windows 7.
Note
Cisco Multicast Manager 3.3 and later releases support Nexus 7K with version 6.1.2 for Discovery, 
Trace, Polling, and Diagnostic. If Nexus 7k devices are configured with multicontext VDCs, then CMM 
will discover the default VDC as well as other VDCs as separate devices.
System Requirements
This section describes the system requirements for Cisco Multicast Manager 3.3.1.
Hardware Requirements
Cisco Multicast Manager can run on Linux systems and on Sun Microsystems systems running Sun 
Solaris 10.
