Cisco Cisco Prime Central 1.5 Installation Guide

a) Choose Network Control > SN. Right click on SN , go to Show Configuration > Advanced > Event Management

> Target. Right click on Target, and click Add Target.

• Provide Target Index and click OK.

• Select SNMP Trap in newly created index and enable SNMP Trap. In IP Address field, enter Management Server

IP Address.

• Click Save.

You can upgrade from Prime Central 1.2 to 1.31.4.1 to 1.5 . The upgrade does the following automatically:

• Backs up the embedded database, if present.

• Stops the Prime Central portal and Prime Central integration layer.

• Backs up the previous installation directory.

• Upgrades the Prime Central portal and Prime Central integration layer.

• Starts the Prime Central portal and Prime Central integration layer.

You must upgrade Prime Central before upgrading the Fault Management component.

• If you are using an external database, you must back it up manually.

• As part of Prime Central 1.5 release, data models have been changed from PSI (Prime Service Inventory) to SSI (Sub System

Inventory) internally. Before performing the upgrade of Prime Central application from Release 1.4 to Release 1.5, it is there
recommended to check whether there is any inconsistent PSI data. To detect any potential inconsistences with PSI, please contact
Cisco support.

• If you are using an embedded (local or remote) database, we recommend (but not require) that you back it up manually before

upgrading.

• The upgrade steps are the same for both single- and dual-server setups. In a dual-server setup, complete the following procedure

on the Prime Central portal server first; then, repeat the procedure on the Prime Central integration layer server.

• If you are starting an upgrade again after rollback to 1.5.1, you must take backup of /tmp folder and clean it. As a root user

execute the below commands:
