  Creating Triggers
Creating a Schedule Trigger
Use the Schedule trigger to specify the criteria on a defined calendar that must be met before the process 
executes. This criteria determines the values that must be met before the process executes.
Step 1
Click the Triggers tab, then click New Schedule.
Step 2
Click the General tab and enter the general information for the trigger.
Step 3
Click the Schedule tab and specify the schedule information.
Step 4
Select the Conditions tab to include any special conditions for when the event log trigger will be 
applied.
Step 5
Click OK to complete the procedure.
Creating a Task Trigger
Use the CCMS Alert trigger to specify the properties of the monitoring tree element (MTE) that must be 
monitored before an alert is generated. This criteria must be met before the process executes.
Step 1
Click the Triggers tab, then click New > CCMS Alert.
Step 2
Click the General tab and enter the general information for the trigger.
Step 3
Click the CCMS Alert tab to enter the trigger information, including:
  •
Monitoring Tree Element—Click Browse to launch the SAP Destination dialog box to locate the 
monitoring tree element for the SAP system.
  •
Context—The CCMS MTE context for the SAP system that will be monitored by this workflow. 
Enter a wildcard (*) to monitor all servers.
  •
Object name—The object in SAP that will be monitored by this workflow (for example, the CPU in 
your host system, the database, and SAP services, such as background processing).
  •
Short name—Short text that is assigned to the MTE class.
  •
MTE class—The MTE class in SAP for the monitoring tree element.
  •
Alert Color—CCMS alerts are assigned a color based on the severity of the alert (Red, Yellow, 
Green, Unknown).
Step 4
Click the Target tab to specify the target on which to monitor for changes that will trigger the process.
Step 5
Click the Conditions tab to include special conditions for when the event log trigger will be applied.
Step 6
Click the Knowledge Base Article tab to add a knowledge base article.
Step 7
Click OK to complete the procedure.
