After you activate the OVA, you can validate its operation as follows: 

Step 1.   Access the root CLI (Linux BASH shell) for the virtual machine from the VMware vSphere console.  

[If desired, you can use Secure Shell (ssh) to access the DCNM OVA. To do so, run the command ssh to 

root@<ip-address> where <ip-address> is the address of your DCNM server. The password will be the 

same as the admin password you configured earlier] 

Step 2.   If your POAP devices already have login credentials, use Telnet or Secure Shell (SSH) to access one of 

those devices. Access validates management-to-device connectivity over the fabric management (inside) 
subnet.
