The User Interface (UI) node should be installed after the Core Services node.

To install the UI node software onto a VM, perform the following:

The procedure that follows uses the same procedure as the Core Services node. Refer to the

Videoscape Distribution Suite (VDS) Core Management Services Software onto a VM, on page 3

for

screens and additional information.

Using the VMware’s vSphere client, access the ESXi host where the OVF images are located.

Click File File > Deploy OVF Template.

Click Browse ... to locate the OVF files downloaded previously.

Select the folder that contains the ui OVF file, and then click Open.

Select the ui OVF file and click Open.

Once the OVF file is selected, click Next > to continue.

Verify the product being deployed and click Next >.

Enter a name for the VM being deployed, when finished, click Next >.

Select the location to store OVF file on the ESXi host, then click Next >. This is the location where the OVF is deployed,
and the VM uses for local storage.

Select Thin provisioned format for the deployment disk format, this will use only the disk space required for the VM
functionality and not pre-provision the entire OVF allocation of space, then Next >.

Select the Network that the VM communicates with, and then click Next >.

Verify whether the settings from earlier selections are correct. When finished, select Finish to deploy the VM.
