Introduction
This application guide is specific to the operation of the Digital Broadband Delivery
System (DBDS) network in an Advanced DOCSIS®* Set-top Gateway (ADSG)
environment. This application guide provides the guidelines for configuring the
DBDS for ADSG when single-flow multicast (SFM) or multiflow multicast (MFM) is
enabled on the Digital Network Control System (DNCS).

Scope
The contents of this document apply to sites that are using DNCS System Releases
(SRs) 3.7 and 4.2. This document provides high-level information that applies to the
configuration of the DBDS network, including the cable modem termination system
(CMTS), for ADSG. This guide provides sample configurations; however, it does not
include installation or troubleshooting procedures for ADSG.
