Defining PPV Services and Events
Overview
Introduction
PPV services, like clear broadcasts, are
always available to subscribers.
Whenever subscribers tune to a PPV
service channel, the channel displays a
barker that advertises the PPV events
that are available for purchase. For
example, the Preview barker, which is
shown in the example to the right,
contains information about the event
that is currently showing, along with
its retail price.
There are no control package restrictions to prevent subscribers from accessing PPV
