Convert MAC Addresses to POD IDs
Before using the podConvert utility to convert a list of CableCARD MAC Addresses
to CableCARD POD IDs, be sure that you know the following information:

Converting MAC Address to POD ID
Follow these instructions to use the podConvert utility to convert CableCARD MAC
Addresses to CableCARD POD IDs.
1 If necessary, open an xterm window on the DNCS.
2 Type cd /export/home/dncs/[EMM delivery file directory]/[extracted file

stored becomes the working directory.

3 Type podConvert -T toc -P [file name] and then press Enter. The system
converts the CableCARD MAC Addresses into POD IDs and writes them to the
specified file.
Example: podConvert -T toc -P /tmp/POD_ID_[date].out
