Add dtacshost Entry to Files
Follow these steps to update the /etc/hosts and /etc/hosts.equiv files.
1 On the DNCS, open the /etc/hosts file using your favorite editor. The editor

2 Type the following line at the end of the file.
<ipaddress>
dtacshost dtacs
Notes:
Substitute the IP address of the machine for <ipaddress>
Press the Tab key after you type the IP address
3 Save your changes to the file and exit the editor.
4 Open the /etc/hosts.equiv file using your favorite editor. The editor displays the

5 Type the following lines at the end of the file and press Enter at the end of each
line:
dtacshost dtacs
dtacshost dncs
dtacshost root

6 Save your changes to the file and exit the editor.
7 On the DTACS, open the /etc/hosts file.
8 Type # at the beginning of the following line to comment the line out:

9 Save your changes to the file and exit the editor.
