The Alarm Manager software is comprised of the following three 

components: 

 

Network Management Interface (NMI) software 

 

Alarm Manager server software 

 

Alarm Manager client software 

The NMI software is installed on the DNCS and provides the 

necessary infrastructure for the DNCS to communicate with the Alarm 

Manager server. The Alarm Manager itself is comprised of a server 

component and a client component. The Alarm Manager server 

software is installed on the Alarm Manager server. The Alarm 

Manager client software provides the Graphical User Interface (GUI) 

and is installed on a personal computer (PC). 
This chapter provides the procedures for installing the Alarm Manager 

software.
