Restore the Previous Version of MQAM Software
Introduction
Contact Cisco Services if you notice that the system is reacting adversely after
installing or upgrading the MQAM software. If Cisco Services recommends
restoring the previous MQAM software version, use the instructions in this section
to assist you.

Restoring the Previous MQAM Software Version
Note: To restore the previous MQAM executable files, restore the configuration
backup file that you saved in Backing Up the Current MQAM Configuration File (on
page 16).
1 Open an xterm window on the DNCS and log on as the root user. The root

settings, is saved to a file named mqam.config.yyy.

5 Type cp –p mqam.config.old mqam.config and press Enter. The configuration
file named mqam.config.old, which contains the previous list of MQAM
configuration files, is copied to a configuration file named mqam.config.
6 Type ls -l and press Enter. A list of files displays. The files mqam.config.old,
mqam.config, and mqam.config.bakyyy appear in the list.

7 Confirm that the date and size of mqam.config matches those of
mqam.config.old.
8 Type exit and press Enter.
