Re-Initialize the PowerKEY CA System
Re-initializing the PowerKEY CA system involves uploading the PowerKEY CAA
keys and the existing Entitlement Agent (EA) pass phrase from the DNCS/ISDS to
the TED server. This section provides instructions to re-initialize the PowerKey CA
system.
Only re-initialize the PowerKEY CA system if you are completing the following
tasks:

Replacing an existing TED server

Re-initializing a previous initialized TED

Initializing a back-up TED server
Important: Only re-initialize the PowerKEY CA system if your DNCS/ISDS has
already been initialized. If the DNCS/ISDS has never been initialized, you must
initialize the DNCS/ISDS to apply the PowerKEY CAA keys, the Entitlement Agent
(EA) pass phrase, and the Factory Root Certificate Authorization Key. If your
DNCS/ISDS has never been initialized, follow the procedures in Initialize the
PowerKEY CA System
 (on page 18).

Before You Begin
Important:

To ensure the security of your system, a Cisco installer must be present when
you are ready to complete the instructions in this section. Only Cisco installers
know the other portion of the CAA Pass Phrase that is necessary to complete the
instructions.

For more information on the pass phrases and on safeguarding your pass
phrases, see Safeguarding Pass Phrases (on page 39).
