Introducing the ALOM and ILOM Ports
The Sun Advanced Lights Out Manager (ALOM) and Integrated Lights Out
Manager (ILOM) ports are system controllers that allow the servers to be managed
and administered from a remote location. Through the ALOM and ILOM ports, you
can monitor and control the servers through a serial connection (using the SERIAL
MGT port) or an Ethernet connection (using the NET MGT port).
