All broadcast HD services and PPV services that carry HD content should be 

identified as HD. Adding the ;HD behavior tag to the application URL causes non-

HD set-tops to display a barker that alerts the subscriber that the service is in HD. 

The HD behavior tag also causes HD and HD PPV services to operate correctly on a 

3100HD. If you do not add the HD behavior tag to an HD service, the subscriber can 

get a black screen. This chapter provides instructions for modifying the application 

URL with an ;HD behavior tag to avoid any abnormal behavior with broadcast HD 

or PPV/IPPV services.
