Introduction
This section provides a description of the CRs implemented in GQAM 4.0.11.
CR 69334: Intermittent Macroblocking on SDV Channels Has Been Corrected
Previously, when an encrypted switched digital video (SDV) channel was viewed on
a system that included multiple service groups on the same GQAM, slight
macroblocking occurred. Although macroblocking was intermittent in the video, it
caused video impairments once or twice every 1-2 minutes.

CR 69334 corrects this issue.
CR 64910: Provision Music Choice Sessions to Avoid Macroblocking on Fully
Utilized QAM Channels
Utilized QAM Channels
When Music Choice sessions are provisioned with a data rate below 250 Kbps and
the QAM port that is carrying the session is near capacity (combination of Music
Choice and video), the output rate can occasionally peak to 38.8 Mbps. When this
occurs, all video sessions on the QAM port will experience intermittent
macroblocking. This can also affect all video sessions on the fully utilized RF
channels that are associated with the radio frequency (RF) quad.
