Note:  If you have correctly followed all instructions to this point, you should still be 
logged on as root user in an xterm window on the DNCS. 
1  Type one of the following commands to connect to the TED: 

 

For a TEDFX, type rsh dncsted. 

 

For a TED III, type ssh dncsted. 

Result: 

Last login: Tue Nov 24 11:26:53 from dncsted-x

[root@dncsted /root]#

 

2  Type shutdown -r now at the [root@dncsted /root]# sign to reboot the TED. 
3  Wait 5 minutes for the TED to reboot. 
4  Type one of the following commands to verify that you can connect to the TED 

and that the TED has rebooted: 

 

For a TEDFX, type rsh dncsted. 

 

For a TED III, type ssh dncsted.
