Roll Back the Application Server 
If you have upgraded your V240 or V245 Application Server as part of this upgrade, 
and have already rolled back the DNCS, follow these instructions to roll back the 
Application Server. 
Notes:   
 
To roll back an Ultra 5 or Sun Blade 150 Application Server, you will have to 
restore the file system from tape. 
 
If you have properly followed the instructions so far, the Application Server 
should be at an ok prompt. 
1  Type boot and press Enter to boot the Application Server. 
2  Insert the CD labeled DBDS Maintenance CD into the CD drive of the 
Application Server. 
3  Log onto the Application Server as root user. 
4  Open an xterm window on the Application Server. 
5  Type the following command and press Enter. A confirmation message appears. 
/cdrom/cdrom0/s3/backup_restore/make_d700_bootable
 
6  Type y and press Enter. The system displays a message about rebooting the 
system. 
7  Type y and press Enter. The Application Server reboots. 
8  When the CDE login window appears, log onto the Application Server as root 
user. 
9  Open an xterm window on the Application Server. 
10  Type the following command and press Enter to verify that the old Application 
Server package is installed. 
pkginfo –l SAIapsrv
 
11  Is the software version correct? 
 
If yes, continue with the rollback by going to step 12. 
 
If no, call Cisco Services for assistance. 
12  Type the following command and press Enter to run a script that creates 
metadevices for disk mirroring. 
/cdrom/cdrom0/s3/backup_restore/make_d500_bootable
 
13  At the confirmation message, type and press Enter. The script reconfigures the 
mirrored devices and displays a message about rebooting the system.
