This document provides the information and procedures for upgrading a Model 
D9477 Multiple Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (MQAM) Modulator to MQAM 
software version 3.2.0 for the PowerKEY™ DVB System. This document also 
includes a description of the change requests (CRs) implemented in this release. 

This document enables system operators to upgrade the Model D9477 MQAM 
Modulator with MQAM software version 3.2.0. 

This document provides instructions for upgrading the Model D9477 MQAM 
Modulator with MQAM software version 3.2.0. It does not provide instructions for 
installing an MQAM into your headend system. 

Note: For instructions on installing an MQAM in your headend or for a complete 
description of MQAM features, refer to the MQAM Modulator Models D9477-1, 
D9477-2, and D9477-3 Installation and Operation Guide (part number 717866). In 
addition, refer to Configuring the PowerKEY DVB System For System Release i4.2 (part 
number 4015077).  

System operators or Cisco engineers who are responsible for installing the MQAM 
software onto the MQAM should read this publication. 

This is the third formal release of this guide. In addition to minor text and graphic 
changes, all references to System Release i.4.2 were removed from this guide.
