Installing the QAM Software From Cisco’s FTP Server
In this section, you will create a directory on the DNCS into which you will load the
QAM software version 2.3.5 file. Then, you will use the FTP file transfer utility to
obtain the file from Cisco’s FTP server and load it into the newly created directory.
Next, you will decompress and extract the compressed file. Finally, you will install
QAM software version 2.3.5 from the file you created at the beginning of this
procedure.

1.
Open an xterm window on the DNCS.
Result: The system displays a dncs user prompt.

Type su – and press Enter.
