Third-Party Applications Require
Recompile for NGP Set-Tops
Third-Party Applications Require
Recompile for NGP Set-Tops
Background
All third-party applications that are intended to run on Next Generation Platform
(NGP) Explorer
®
set-tops must be recompiled with a Linux-based operating
system. This recommendation includes, but is not limited to, applications that
support VOD, Caller ID, portals, games, and so forth.
Recommendation
You should contact your application vendor to verify that they have created an
NGP version of each application for Linux-based set-tops. Applications compiled
for legacy set-tops will not run on the new Linux-based set-tops.
