Configuring the SAP Adapter
Licensing an Adapter
A criteria hierarchy is stored in a criteria profile which can be active and inactive. For the criteria in a profile to take effect,

SAP Agent Lists
Once multiple connections to SAP instances are created you can create agent lists specific to SAP. With agent lists an

Agent Lists
option of the
Navigator
pane displays an SAP type of agent list. The procedure to create SAP agent
lists is the same as creating any other agent list. Refer to the Cisco Workload Automation User Guide for more information
on creating an agent list.

SAP Connection Status Light
If the CWA master cannot connect or loses its connection to an SAP instance, you will see a red status light next to your
SAP connection in the
SAP connection in the
Connections
pane. Connection to SAP must be established by the Master in order to define SAP
jobs and extract information on job steps from your SAP instance.
To test your connection to the SAP instance from the CWA Web client, select the SAP connection and right-click and
select the

Test
option. The resulting dialog will tell you if you have an active connection. For more information on the

Configuring Default System Settings for SAP
Configure the SAP job output default or even turn it off from the
Defaults
tab of the
System Configuration
dialog.
To configure the default system settings:
1.
From the
Activities
main menu, select
System Configuration
to display the
System Configuration
dialog.
The
System Configuration
dialog sets universal parameters for CWA though you can still override a parameter for
individual jobs.

Click the
Defaults
tab.
3.
In the
Save Output Option
section, if you wish to see job output, select either
Append
or
Replace
. The default
is to discard output.
Since SAP job output can be quite extensive, the
Summary Only for ERP Jobs
option is selected by default. This
provides job log information only. Unchecking this option will provide the full spooled output (if available). You can
override this setting for individual jobs on the
