We recommend the following regarding BFS QAM modulators:



Make sure the BFS QAM modulator is not assigned to a specific hub, but that it sends BFS data to all

hubs in the headend.



When you activate the BFS QAM modulator, make sure that the Allow SI option is set to No. In an RCS,

system information (SI) is carried on the out-of-band data path through a QPSK modulator.
