When you make additions or changes to your network, We strongly recommend that you use a naming and
numbering scheme that follows the scheme used in your network map. Doing so will make it easier for you to
identify where individual elements are located within your network, as well as what specific data is coming from and
going to those elements. Additionally, you will be less likely to duplicate element names within your system, which
can cause numerous data transport errors.
Updating Network Maps
Whenever you make a change to your network, update your network map. This will allow you to troubleshoot your
system more effectively and efficiently, should the need arise.
