Cisco Intercloud Fabric 3.2.1: Before You 
Begin

Introduction 

Cisco Intercloud Fabric (ICF) 3.2.1 introduces a number of new features, including advanced routing in AWS using CSR, support for Azure 
Express Route, support for new cloud providers like IntercloudNow and AWS GovCloud, enhancements in image upload to ICF, IP 
utilization reporting, and large image support via remote storage. 

Users with existing ICF 3.1.1 deployments can upgrade to ICF 3.2.1 version. For versions earlier than 3.2.1, we recommend that you 
perform a fresh installation of ICF. 

ICF Installation Prerequisites 

Refer to the following guides for detailed prerequisite and installation information: 

The release includes an evaluation license (valid for 60 days, 20 hybrid cloud units). 

 

Requirements for vCenter and ESXi Servers 

Have vCenter running one of the versions supported by ICF: 5.1, 5.5, or 6.0. 

Have ESXi hosts running one of the versions supported by ICF: 5.1, 5.5, or 6.0. 

Have the vCenter IP address, username, and password for the account with Administrator privileges. 

Have an ESXi host with a minimum of the following resources: 

450 GB of disk space. 

Minimum of 20 GB (24 GB for HA) of memory available for the ICF infrastructure VMs.   

Minimum of 11 vCPUs (14 vCPUs for HA) available. 

Make sure all the ESXi hosts are set to the right time and are synchronized with the NTP server. 

 
 

Network Requirements  

Have a management network to be used for ICF components. Make sure that the management pool has a minimum of 4 additional IPs 
for standalone mode and 7 IPs for HA mode. These IPs are additional to the 2 IPs being used for ICF management. The IPs should to 
be static IPs and not from DHCP.
