Upgrading the Prisma II ICIM Software to Version R007  
Technical Bulletin 
 
Overview 
Purpose 
This technical bulletin reviews the details of the upgrade of the Prisma II™ ICIM 
software from version R006 to version R007. 
The Issue 
As of May 2001, version R007 is the latest ICIM software version.  Version R007 
enhances the features in version R006 and adds support for new features.  Version 
R007 includes the following features. 
 
• 
The capability to set alarm thresholds from the ICIM keypad. 
• 
Support for ICIM software updates. 
• 
An updated ICIM password system including the capability to enable or disable 
the User password. 
• 
The capability to communicate manufacturing data to the Transmission Network 
Control System (TNCS) software. 
• 
Improved response time when communicating with the TNCS software. 
• 
Improved polling rate for updating module status. 
If You Have Version R006 
To fully use the capabilities of the ICIM you will need software version R007.  
Version R006 is not user upgradeable to version R007.  However, if you have version 
R006 and would like to upgrade, call Cisco Services in your region and request an in-
warranty exchange for this product.
